Soft warm tones of rose gold are a striking contrast to the rich depth of the black diamonds. We love using dark stones in designs because it really draws a contrast to the intricacy of the prong settings. In this custom piece, Our client was really interested in seeing the gold as well as the stones. We wanted even the smallest of details to feel visible. You can't tell in the photo since it's a such a close shot, but those prongs are really small prongs! If we would have used white or champagne diamonds instead, you'd barely be able to see what was going on. The polish of the metal and the sparkle of the stones would compete with each other. With these colors, you see both the ring and the stones!
